Okay down to serious business, I get, it whether you are looking to unwind with friends or or even a simple date to get to know someone, should not make you have the ”fear of washing plate” So, I have scouted some great spots where you can have a good time under 10k for two people. Ready? Let’s dive in!

Lekki Conservation Centre
Location: Km 19, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos State 550104
Lekki Conservation Centre is your perfect escape to nature, right in the middle of Lagos’ hustle and bustle. It’s open Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and on weekends and public holidays till 6:00 PM. Here, you can enjoy activities like the canopy walkway, nature trail, wildlife observation, picnics, environmental education, and even a photoshoot session! Note: Watch out for those monkeys without home training

Nike Art Gallery
Location: 2 Nike Art Gallery Rd, Lekki Phase I, Lagos.
At Nike Art Gallery, you’ll be wowed by one of the largest art collections in West Africa, with over 8,000 pieces! This cultural haven is a free-entry spot, so you can soak up the beautiful Nigerian art, meet artists (including the legendary Chief Nike Davies-Okundaye), and get inspired without spending a kobo. If you’re coming with a group, though, you might need to pay for a tour guide.

Lekki Art and Craft Market
Location: Oba Elegushi St, Lekki Peninsula II, Lagos.
Also known as the Jakande Art Market, this place is a treasure trove of affordable art and unique cultural items. Freedom Park
Location: Old Prison Ground, 1 Hospital Road, Lagos Island.
Freedom Park used to be a colonial-era prison but has now transformed into a serene cultural and recreational spot. With an entrance fee of just N500, you can explore its park, theater, museum, fish pond, and food stalls. If you want a guided tour, it’ll cost you N1,500, but you’ll be soaking in history while enjoying the peaceful vibes.

Picnic at JJT Park
Location: House of Assembly beside Lagos State Secretariat Alausa, Ikeja.
JJT Park is perfect for a relaxing day out. It’s open daily from 9 AM to 6 PM with free entry. You can rent a mat for less than N1,200 and enjoy activities like face painting, horse riding, and playing in the kid-friendly zone. Pack some homemade snacks and drinks, and have a chilled picnic under the trees.

THC Cinemax
Location: 4th Floor, Heritage Center, Iju Rd, Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos.
For those on the mainland, THC Cinemax is a great spot for a midweek movie date. On Wednesdays, the ticket is just N3,500, and it even comes with popcorn and a drink! Whether you’re with friends, family, or your significant other, this is the perfect place to enjoy interesting films and create some lovely memories.
